BlackBerry Bold 9700 now availbale from Rogers

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a really decent device for those that want a powerful BlackBerry, but are looking for something smaller and more modern that the Bold 9000.

We have taken a look at the T-Mobile version of the device, and to our knowledge there isn’t much different with the Rogers version.

The Bold 9700 from Rogers costs $299 on a three year contract.

TwitterPeek Now Official

It first surfaced last week, but today Peek officially announced the availability of the TwitterPeek, a version of their handheld device designed exclusively for accessing and publishing content on Twitter. SmrtGuard and the Indonesian carrier Indosat, have announced the launch of the i-Guard service, a white label version of SmrtGuard. With this white labeled version of the service, users can wirelessly backup and restore personal data, as well as personally track and remotely wipe their smartphone in the event of theft or loss.

WSJ closing Boston bureau

The Wall Street Journal announced Thursday that it will close its Boston bureau, according to a memo distributed by managing editor Robert Thomson to the staff.

Thomson wrote, “Today we told our team in Boston that we are closing the bureau in its present form. The economic background to the closure is painfully obvious to us all. Rumormill: Toyota to launch Prius coupe, MPV

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumblings of a possible sporty two-door Prius coupe from Toyota, but the rumor that just won’t die is once again being trumpeted by Autocar in the UK. The British motoring magazine also contends that an MPV (think downsized minivan) version of the well-loved hybrid hatchback is also in the works.
